Born in Vermont, Manhattan based for years -quirky wit and ironic edge inform the illustrations of Lisa Adams. A graduate of the Pratt Institute, Lisa has been making art since she could hold a pencil. This former Tribecan relocated to Mystic, CT and now lives on a sheep farm on the ocean. She has painted only 3 sheep so far but she does sail a lot.
Using a mix of super-realism, collage, outsider art and hand-lettering, Lisa has garnered a reputation for her map illustrations showcasing her own world of nautical elements and charming unexpected icons. And, she still wears Prada around the farm.
