Dave Calver in the “NowBrow” Sideshow

Dave Calver will be exhibiting his work with Brad Benedict’s Sideshow “NowBrow” at the Wal-Art Gallery in Los Angeles, CA. The opening reception is on Saturday, Sept 20th from 7-11 and the show runs until October 23rd. This is the second show in the Sideshow exhibition series- the last one Dave was in, “Moods for Moderns,” got a writeup and a spread in popular art magazine “Juxtapoz”- so who knows what this show will bring!

If you’re in town, be sure to stop by, see the show, and schmooze your heart out!

Online Exhibition of Rick Tulka’s le Select Drawings

Rick Tulka just put a unique set of his le Select drawings and other cafe sketches on Café Stylo, an online art exhibition featuring artists’ renditions of cafe life. Currently there are some never-seen-before drawings up that aren’t even in the book- click here to see the gallery of his work, or click here to see the entire exhibition.

If you missed the book launch celebration, Cafe le Select was recently released, featuring stories of the historic Parisian cafe and beautifully illustrated scenes of the locals by Mr. Tulka- you can read more about his book (and order it!) here.
