A Contest from the New Yorker

The iconic New Yorker dandy ‘Eustace Tilley’ is turning 86 this year, and boy oh boy is he looking sharp!

In celebration of the occasion, the New Yorker is inviting readers to create book-bag versions of our dear friend. Twelve winners will be featured in a slide show curated by art director Francoise Mouly, and one grand prize winner will see their design printed on a Strand Bookstore tote bag – yet another iconic New York fixture – and a $1000 shopping spree. If you are familiar with the Strand’s prices, that’s a lot of books.
