Shannon Brady’s Awesome Poster

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

Shannon Brady’s energetic work often seems as though it is in motion, so it is entirely fitting that he silkscreened this fabulous image for a bicycle poster show in his neck of the woods:

The show, “Local/Euro,” will take place at the Bikery in Stillwater, Minnesota, on July 24th from 7pm to midnight. We hope to see you there!

Shannon Brady’s a Dad!

Monday, April 5th, 2010

Congratulations are in order for Shannon Brady, who shared with us the exciting news of the birth of his daughters. Amazingly the second MGI artist to have twins this year (Josee Bisaillon started the trend), Shannon kindly sent us this picture of him with his two little girls Maeve Anne Brady and Winifred Carol Brady. Or perhaps it’s the other way around…

Another CA Winner

Monday, February 8th, 2010

It seems that we may have been a bit premature in announcing our MGI artists that have been selected for this year’s CA annual! Congratulations are also in order for Shannon Brady, who had 3 pieces accepted in the Unpublished Series category. The images are from a travel poster project that he completed for his graduate program at MCAD. Way to go, Shannon!

Proud Papa

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

Shannon Brady and his wife Jill recently shared their wonderful news with us - the couple is expecting twins at the end of March/beginning of April. Congratulations!!!!

This is, amazingly, the second set of twins for MGI artists. Our agents are officially picking up the pace and doing their best to hustle up business with all of the new little mouths to feed.

A timely image by Shannon Brady:

American Illustration Announces Winners

Friday, May 1st, 2009

American Illustration just announced its winners, and Morgan Gaynin is pleased to have seen a number of its illustrators included once again!

Featured in the Book is…why are we not surprised?…Rene Milot’s screaming rabbit. How many awards and acceptances does this make for our furry friend???

*Update-Guido Scarabottolo has also had two images accepted into the book!

And once again, MGI has a formidable presence in the On Line Gallery.

Shannon Brady had two of his complex images accepted:

Valeria Petrone’s little lovers will be featured:

Steven Tabbutt has two surrealist beauties:

Josee Bisaillon hopped onto this U.S. scene (extra congrats-this is her first award in the States!):

Lisa Adams’s intimidating doberman will have an imposing presence himself:

Perhaps Laurie Lafrance’s moody man will cheer up with the new accolade:

And Anson Liaw’s “cheeky” piece will also be on view:

Congratulations to all!

Mail Me Art

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

Shannon Brady recently participated in a really cool collaborative art project that is going to be shown at the Red Gate Gallery in London. “Mail Me Art, Going Postal with the World’s Best Illustrators and Designers” features ornately decorated envelopes and packages that have been shipped from around the world to the curator in England.

If you happen to be in the area, be sure to check out the show on Friday, April 3rd, from 6-11 pm. The pieces are all for sale (with the majority of the profits going to the artists!), and tasty treats will be offered to all in attendance.

Congratulations, Shannon! We know that the show will be a great success.

And, of course, Shannon’s piece:

Shannon Brady Bags the Big Bucks

Friday, February 27th, 2009

Shannon Brady was recently accepted into the MFA graduate program at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, keeping his studies close to home (and his new wife!). He was thrilled to share that he has also received an MFA Trustee Scholarship for $14,000, to be applied to his first year at the College.

Shannon’s energetic and highly conceptual work will be hard to improve upon, but we applaud his new endeavors, and wish him the best of luck!
