Welcome to Suplex City

ALE+ALE traded their romantic European digs for something a bit more sinister while working on one of our favorite projects from 2016, the inimitable “Suplex City” – home of WWE® 2K17 and the latest addition to the flagship WWE video game franchise.

ALE+ALE: Suplex City intro

Showcasing the ALE’s more ominous side, the atmospheric artwork for Suplex City creates a chilling environment for wrestling fans to engage with their favorite heroes and antiheroes. Per their press release, “WWE 2K17 delivers an unprecedented combination of authenticity, realism and action-packed gameplay in a WWE video game experience, including the largest roster of WWE and NXT Superstars in franchise history”. It was pretty exciting to be involved with something of this magnitude.

Paul’s entry centers on the Greenwich Meridian Line and celebrates this important meeting place. In the words of the artist, “I”ll come from the East as you come from the West to the Prime Meridian, Greenwich and we’ll meet each other at the center of world.”

Posters may be purchased in all sizes here – and congratulations, Paul!

Introducing our Newest Artist – Jonathan Bartlett!

This one has been a long time coming!

We have been admiring Jonathan Bartlett’s ever-evolving work for quite awhile now, and it has been truly enjoyable to follow his ascent as an illustrator. He has continuously impressed us with his juxtaposition of classical imagery and fresh symbols, and we’ve always appreciated his subtle surrealism that is grounded in nature. And don’t even get us started on that impeccable technique!

So it comes as no surprise that we were thrilled when the stars finally aligned and the timing felt right.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please take a moment to check out Jonathan’s wonderful portfolio and welcome this talented lad to the team.

New Work from Carlo Giambarresi

Carlo Giambarresi sent us this recent beauty for the German publication ‘Wirtschafwoche’. In it, he tackles the article’s central theme: that one shouldn’t settle for life insurance while investing in more lucrative and diverse ways.
